Fiddlers fiddler music with old and new news, stories and information about musicians

Surfing on a blog today and found something cool. A video of the Fallen Art And the background a song sung by Fanfare Ciocarlia. Very nice. And I started to look for guys who are fiddlers craftsmen. We found some pieces of their own. We recommend: Asflat Tango, Banateana, Casablanca and Nicoleta. Really listen.

And now to say about the band. I searched on google and found their official page . I read the history of folk music and I was impressed. It seems that the band was formed somewhere in eastern Romania, in a small village called Ten Prajini border with Moldova. Music these bards was preserved from generation to generation. They learned to sing from their parents, who in turn learned from predecessors. Fanfare Ciocarlia has developed repertoire with increasing international success. They performed almost every country in the world. The styles played are: bones, Serbian, hore.

Fanfare Ciocarlia is invited on 25 October in London by comedian Sasha Baron Cohen (aka Ali G or Borat) for the premiere of Borat. The film is the theme of life in Kazakhstan, which resembles that of Romanian villages. So create a band of pleasant atmosphere. Good to hear!
